The Hill
We are a rescue dog family, who has been advocating for Pit Bulls since 1999 and have also been involved with non-profit Pit Bull rescue organizations since 2001.
We chose to start making break sticks in 2012 for pet owners, caretakers, trainers, rescues and shelters. A place that is not breeding kennels, and are not cheap plastic imports. Our break sticks are made right here in the US with solid woods sourced in the US.
Pit Bulls have a great love for people, are affectionate and intelligent.
Pit Bulls may live amicably among other animals for their entire lives and never experience a fight. You will find Pit Bulls who get along famously with other dogs, some with only certain dogs and others that may not tolerate other dogs at all. Any dog of any breed can become involved in an unintentional fight. If you have a Pit Bull, are a dog trainer, or a rescuer, a break stick is a must-have piece of equipment. It is the quickest, most successful, and compassionate technique to open a stubborn dog's jaw.

on other dog breeds
Pit Bulls are strong, agile dogs. Other dog breeds bite erratically and blindly, snapping, biting, and releasing. When fighting, Pit Bulls, like all terrier breeds, bite and hold. A break-stick will be useless if a dog is biting and releasing, but if a dog has a grasp and refuses to let go, a break-stick can help. They have been bred and are hard-wired for this behavior, just as retrievers "retrieve" and herders "herd"; it is not something that can be schooled or loved away.
